Recently I read a book that stated we are no longer in the Industrial Age.  Instead, and thanks to the World Wide Web, we are now officially in the Information Age.  No official change over date.  No new federal holiday to observe.  Just know that “information” is the rule of today!

So what about photography, I wondered.  I have heard it said that Photography is storytelling.  A photo shows information.  In light of that, I believe my work will transition well into this new Information Age.  But there is one thing I will need to add to the mix of my photography....blogging about it!

Blogging.  A word that sends many running the opposite direction for all kinds of interesting excuses.  I believe, I will give this “blogging” an honest try.  I have answered many Lightroom questions for fellow photographers that easily would have been great content for a blog post.  Travelled to many places and returned home only to be asked, “What is there to photograph in ___?” or better yet, “Tell me where I can get that unique shot of ___ while in ____?”  But my all time favorite question I get is, “What is there to photograph in Kansas?”  (I know...Kansas - Where the end of the world is in the middle of the United States!)  Now that is something I might answer in a future blog post!
